Prayer Request for the family of The Rev. Clarence Caldwell
It is with heavy hearts yet faith in Christ’s resurrection that we announce the passing of The Rev. Clarence V. Caldwell, Jr, of Shanksville, who entered the Church Triumphant early Saturday morning, Sept. 19.
Throughout his ministry, Pastor Caldwell served congregations in Virginia and Florida, as well as Secretary and Assistant to the Bishop of the Florida-Bahamas Synod. He moved to Pennsylvania following his retirement, transferring to the Allegheny Synod in 2004 and serving congregations in the Johnstown, Bedford, and Somerset regions, including St. Mark’s, Shanksville.

O God, we remember with thanksgiving those who have loved and served you on earth, who now rest from their labors. Keep us in union with all your saints, and bring us with them to the joyous feast of heaven; through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen.
